Hunting season has been called off for bear hunters in Hibara, an environmental directive aimed at preserving the local bear population. The young and defiant Reijiro refuses to abide by these new rules and convinces complacent Nobuyuki to join him for one last hunt. A beautifully filmed and delicate thematic exploration of the thought-provoking and complex clash between tradition and change.
