Independent filmmaker WATANABE (And the Mud Ship Sails Away) returns to the festival with this quirky film about Yasuzo, a lifeguard at a local swimming pool. He leads a life of regularity and simplicity, but under the surface something is brewing. A slow, repetitive ánd increasingly humorous film, based on a true story.
Onafhankelijk filmmaker WATANABE (And the Mud Ship Sails Away) keert terug naar het festival met een eigenzinnige film over Yasuzo, een badmeester in een zwembad. Zijn leven is simpel en routinematig, maar onder de oppervlakte broeit ontevredenheid. Een meditatieve, experimentele en alsmaar grappiger wordende film, gebaseerd op een waargebeurd verhaal.
