About the Director
OKADA Mari was bullied at school and became one of Japan’s hikikomori (recluses). After graduating from high school, she moved to Tokyo to study games scenario writing at the Amusement Media School. She is currently one of the most prolific writers working in the anime industry. Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms is her directorial debut.
