Three decades after the great war between humans and the Zentradi, two former childhood friends are selected to test transforming fighter jets. But personal grudges and a love triangle with the producer of a singing AI threaten to derail the project. Marvellous machinery, lovely landscapes, stunning action sequences and vital music by KANNO Yoko make this a spectacular sci-fi classic with a groundbreaking combination of traditional and computer-generated animation.
