High-school girl Barefoot adores samurai films so much that she wants to make one with her friends, Kickboard and Blue Hawaii. Then Barefoot meets Rintaro, who would be perfect for a samurai role in her movie. They decide to make the film, but during production Barefoot finds out that Rintaro is a time-traveler from the future. A laid-back, light-hearted comedy which wears its love for cinema on its sleeve.

Barefoot zit op de middelbare school en houdt zo van samoeraifilms dat ze er zelf eentje wil maken, samen met haar vrienden Kickboard en Blue Hawaii. Dan ontmoet ze Rintaro, die geknipt is voor de rol van samoerai in haar film. Ze besluiten om de film te maken. Maar tijdens de productie komt Barefoot erachter dat Rintaro uit de toekomst komt. Een relaxte, lichtvoetige komedie, waar de liefde voor cinema vanaf straalt.
