Director ARAI Haruhiko’s background as a scriptwriter (Vibrator, Kabukicho Love Hotel), shows in the philosophic and melancholic tone of the conversations, which contrasts nicely with the playful sex scenes.

About the Director
ARAI Haruhiko (荒井 晴彦) is a screenwriter, but he is also active as the editor/publisher of Eiga Geijutsu magazine and as professor at the Japan Institute of the Moving Image. His screenplay for W’s Tragedy in 1984 earned him the Mainichi Film Award for best screenplay. It Feels So Good (2020) is ARAI’s second feature film as director.
