After her boyfriend proposes to her, Ichiko suddenly disappears without a trace. When he tries to file a missing persons report, the police tell him no record of her exists. With the help of a detective, he slowly uncovers Ichiko’s tragic past and, by revealing her secrets, puts her life in danger. The important social themes in this gripping, but deliberately paced psychological thriller, are unpacked and revealed as the mystery unravels.
Nadat haar vriend haar ten huwelijk heeft gevraagd, verdwijnt Ichiko plotseling zonder enig spoor achter te laten. TODA Akihiro 戸田彬弘 founded the Cheese Film production company in 2014 and the Cheese Theater group in 2017. He has made several shorts and feature films. In 2014, he gained international recognition for Tangerines on Cat. He is also a writer and stage director. His latest film, Ichiko, is based on his own award-winning stage play.
