An elite contract killer nicknamed The Fable, is ordered by his boss to lie low for a while. Under the alias of Sato Akira he starts living an ordinary existence in Osaka, but his association with a troubled young woman quickly leads him down a path of violence. Entertaining mix of slapstick comedy and impressive action set pieces, based on the manga by the same name.

About the Director
EGUCHI Kan is co-founder of the video production company KOO-KI in Fukuoka. He won awards for his TV ads at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity (formerly International Advertising Festival) three years in a row from 2007. EGUCHI made his feature film debut in 2018 with Gachi Boshi, named one of the top ten films of the year by the magazine Eiga Geijutsu. His career as a feature film director continued with Mentai Piriri and The Fable, both released in 2019.
