SEKI Yujiro 関勇二郎 discovered a passion for filmmaking when he was in high school. He became enamoured with the imaginative possibilities of cinema when he made his first feature film, The Enigmatic Detective. He was determined to master the art by studying in the United States. After completing several courses of study in the US, he embarked on the feature documentary project, Carving the Divine: Buddhist Sculptors of Japan.
