About the Director
FUKADA Koji (深田 晃司) is a film director and screenwriter. He started taking evening classes in film-making at the Film School of Tokyo when he was nineteen. One of his teachers was the director KUROSAWA Kiyoshi. In 2010 his film Hospitalité won the Best Picture Award in the Japanese Eyes competition at the Tokyo International Film Festival. In 2016, Harmonium won the Prix du Jury in the Un Certain Regard Section at the Cannes Film festival.
