We are pleased to announce the winner of the 2024 Audience Award. It was a close race, but after counting all the votes in Rotterdam and Amsterdam, Let’s Go Karaoke remains at the top of the ratings.
The five audience favourites are [drum roll]:
- Let’s Go Karaoke!
- The Making of a Japanese
- Stay Mum
- One Second Ahead, One Second Behind
- Baby Assassins: Nice Days
Congratulations to director YAMASHITA Nobuhiro, who also has a film at No. 4 on the list of top-five audience favourites at CAMERA JAPAN 2024.
Let’s Go Karaoke is a highly entertaining musical comedy featuring yakuza, high school kids, and lots of singing. Some of it beautifully in tune, some of it less so.
