Kaiju Project is a Japanese inspired jazz group formed by the half-Japanese pianist Aseo FRIESACHER. Their initial idea was to bring old folk songs into a new modern context, but in addition to their compositions, this group has found their very own musical direction: a perfect blend of traditional Japanese music and modern creative jazz.

Kaiju Project is een door Japanse traditie geïnspireerde jazzgroep, die opgericht is door de half-Japanse pianist Aseo FRIESACHER. Het oorspronkelijke idee was om oude volksliedjes in een nieuwe, moderne context te plaatsen, maar voeg daar hun eigen composities aan toe en deze groep vond hun eigen muzikale richting: een perfecte combinatie van traditionele Japanse muziek en modern-creative jazz.
